Release Train Engineer (Contract)12-Month Initial ContractSydney or Melbourne | Hybrid Working ArrangementAn exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join a large-scale enterprise technology transformation within a complex and highly regulated environment.

Working across multiple Agile delivery teams, you will play a critical leadership role in driving program delivery, facilitating planning activities, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring teams remain aligned to strategic objectives. This role will suit a seasoned Agile delivery professional who thrives in large organisations and enjoys working across complex stakeholder environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across an Agile Release Train (ART), ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and delivery outcomes.
• Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning / Big Room Planning activities.
• Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners and delivery teams in Agile and Lean practices.
• Identify, manage and resolve cross-team dependencies, impediments and risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams and delivery processes.
• Monitor progress against objectives and provide transparency to stakeholders.
• Collaborate across technology, business and operational teams to support successful program outcomes.
• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous learning.

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

Extensive experience as a Release Train Engineer, Senior Agile Delivery Lead or related Agile leadership role.A strong background delivering large-scale transformation programs within complex enterprise environments.

Deep understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and frameworks, ideally SAFe.

Demonstrated experience facilitating PI Planning and coordinating multiple Agile teams.

Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.

Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage competing priorities and dependencies.

Experience driving continuous improvement and delivery excellence across programs.

Highly RegardedSAFe certifications such as RTE, Leading SAFe, SAFe Scrum Master or similar.

Experience delivering within government, regulatory or highly governed environments.

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Project Management or a related discipline.
