Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager – Solar & BESS | SydneyEnemix is working closely with a fast-growing and well funded renewable energy developer/asset owner with a multi-GW pipeline of solar, wind and battery storage projects across Australia. They're looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their Construction & Engineering team in Sydney/Brisbane and learn the ropes on active utility-scale Solar and BESS assets.

This role is an opportunity to be working alongside highly experienced Project Managers, Project Directors and an incredibly strong/capable team, getting real exposure to how these projects come together from design through to commissioning, not just admin support on the sidelines.

Role

Responsibilities

• Supporting the project management team across scheduling, budgets and reporting on active Solar and BESS construction activities
• Helping coordinate design inputs across civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Assisting with site inspections, FAT/SAT documentation and compliance tracking
• Getting hands-on with contract administration, variations and progress claims
• Building relationships with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders
• Contributing to weekly and monthly project reporting

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in project support, project coordination (or as a junior PM) ideally in the Australian renewable energy sector
• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar (or working towards one)
• Comfortable reading civil, mechanical or electrical drawings (or keen to learn)
• Strong organisational skills and genuine attention to detail
• A proactive mindset, happy to get on site and learn from people more senior than you
• Driver's licence and White Card
