The Role

As an Assistant Accountant / Accountant & MIS Support, you will support the firm's accounting & MIS operations, with a strong emphasis on management information systems (MIS), accounting processes and efficient office resource management.

This hybrid role combines data handling, process automation, financial support, and general administration — making it an ideal position for a detail-oriented, quick-learning individual who enjoys working with accounting principles, data analysis, reporting tools, and office software/applications.

Job Description

• Report to the Director or Accounting Manager
• Handle full set of accounts for the client
• Cash Management, handle payroll & MPF for the client
• Prepare the budget and forecast and various finance reports
• Identify, design and implement automation solutions for accounting processes (e.g. bank reconciliation, invoice processing, payroll, month-end closing, etc.)
• Develop and maintain automated reports, dashboards and workflows using tools such as PowerBI, Power Query, Power Automate or programing languages such as PYTHON
• Optimize accounting workflows through system integration and process automation to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Support data management and system optimization initiatives within the MIS team
• Liaise with auditors, and bankers relating to the client

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree holder / High Diploma in Accounting / HKICPA / ACCA / HKIAAT student member / or equivalent
• Knowledge of QuickBooks / Xero Accounting System is an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in handling a full set of accounts independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated and result-oriented
• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Strong computer software aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new tools/systems quickly
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, Chinese and English Word Processing, etc.
• Knowledge of PYTHON is a plus
